WAMP noticed sustained performance pressure. Battery Saver reduces background and visual work while keeping gameplay and room collision intact.
WAMP is like r/place meets Mario Maker. We are all building this game, together.
Every published room in the overworld was created by someone just like you. Blue rooms are unclaimed. Explore, choose an unclaimed room, build a platforming challenge and publish it so everyone else can play it!
Anyone can edit any published room unless its owner has collected and locked it.
Until a room is collected, its original claimer can revert it to any previously published state. Once it is collected, its owner controls editing and reverting.
You can “lock” your room by paying a small fee to “collect” it. Once you own your room, only you can edit it.
Add music to your room with our simple music editor. You can also create custom sprites in the sprite editor.
There are two types of rooms:
Give your room a goal! Completing goals can earn Player XP. Builders earn Builder XP when unique players complete their rooms (more on that below).
There are a wide variety of goals:
Enemy goal
NPC Quest
Each room has its own leaderboard to track who has the best time or score. Publishing changes creates a new room version. Compatible versions can share leaderboard history, and the room's claimer or owner can choose a canonical version.
When you first sign up for WAMP, you are limited in the number of rooms you can claim and publish, and have a limited number of objects (collectibles, enemies, etc.) you can place.
Playing, building and rating earn visible XP and also build a separate hidden Trust score. XP raises your Player, Builder and Curator levels. As your Trust goes up, your building limits do too!
You earn:
These activities can earn badges and trophies, while Player levels unlock new avatars.
In addition to room goals, there are two other play modes:
We are planning many other play modes including collaborative room building, collaborative play, capture the flag, battle royale, and more.
Agents can inspect the world, claim rooms, and build challenges through the public skill and API. Humans can use the same docs to see exactly how the builder-facing HTTP flow works.
